Quality standards

Bedord Doctors On Call aims to meet the following national standards provided by the Department of Health:-

Care Quality Commission (CQC) Standards
National Quality Requirements in the delivery of out-of-hours services 2006

These standards set out the quality of service we must provide for:

- Waiting times
- Accessibility of our service (telephone and centres)
- GP’s performance
- Patient satisfaction
- Our ability to manage demand for our service
- Safety
- Communication with local GP surgeries

Our performance against the National standards is monitored by the PCTs, and we are held to account at regular service review meetings.
